New Maui Wedding Blog is HERE!

"Will You Maui Me?" which is the name of our brand new blog. After a lot of hard work, it is finally up and running! We're so excited about this because it is SO much easier to add photos to this blog then the one you're reading now.

The new blog is located at http://mauime.net

We've already put up three new blog posts for you to read, adding in some new new photos. I like the way the photos in the header rotate so that they're different each time you look at an article. We also have random pictures from the different articles. If you click on the photos, it will take you to a larger version of the photo, and if the photo is in an article, you can see a link to that article below the photo.

We expect that we'll be putting up lots of articles as we get this new blog launched. At the moment, nothing links to it from our websites except this post. Soon, I will have to go into our websites and make all of our links point over to the new blog.

You can subscribe to the feed and you can also sign up for our new mailing list, which will give you Maui Wedding Planner Tips. Although not everything on the blog is perfect, I feel it is a great start, with a lot to come!

New Maui Wedding Blog

Even though we have a wedding every night for six days right now, I'm still working on the new blog for our main company, Maui Me, Inc. I can't believe how exciting this new blog will look.

I have a software developer working on it as we speak, and she's doing a wonderful job of getting me all the features that I have longed for, for so long. Hopefully, we will be able to unveil in within the next 10 days. It will have many new features that our old blogs don't have, but in particular it has the ability to allow us to quickly and easily upload photographs.

I love this feature, because our couples often want to see photos that we don't have on our websites. And I have so many photos loaded now in my computer since I shifted mostly to digital. So it will allow us to be much more image oriented than we already are. And that will be great for our couples, because they will be able to see so much more of what we do.

If you have tried to get an RSS feed to this blog, don't waste your time. We get constant error messages that it times out. And so we will be abandoning it soon. We'll leave all of the old posts up, but we won't link to it any more. If you were actually able to get an RSS feed to this blog, you will want to get our new feed when it is available. As soon as we have the new web address of this blog, we'll have links here in our old blog so that you can change over to it with us.

The prototype for this blog is just so exciting to us; there are some (secret) features in it that will make it so much fun for our couples to browse around for a while. I'm sure that my work is cut out for me once the new blog is ready for posts. I'll have a lot of posting to do to get it going quickly!

This new software is so exciting for me, I am even thinking of using this new format for my Maui Photography website. I haven't really updated the photos on that site for about four years! If you can believe that. And I've shot so many Maui weddings since then, that it seems a shame not to have more of my more recent work on it. But we're so busy doing weddings that it is just hard to add pictures all the time.

So, keep tuned. I'll put several posts in this blog to keep you abreast of the new blog as soon as it is up and running.
