Busy Season for Maui Weddings

It's been a couple of weeks since I've blogged for two reasons: we've been so busy with our Maui weddings, performing about 25 in the month of September alone. And also because I've been hoping soon to abandon the blogging software we're using in favor of a brand new blog program.

I can't wait to get everything up and running, but it does take time. I am actually paying for a blogging expert to help me install the new program because it has so many neat features that I know you will really enjoy.

To be honest, I hate the look of our blogs. They are so generic. And our new blog will allow us to add our photos from our many Maui weddings, so you can see for yourself what our happy couples look like as they get married. There will be photos everywhere it this new format. You will even be able to click on the photos you like to go the block post that talks about it!

We have another 20 weddings currently scheduled for October and so I have a so many digital images on my computer now that it will be so much easier to give you a better view of what getting married on Maui is really like.

The new blog will also allow us to have categories so that we can organize our posts better. That will help our couples find timely articles on different Maui weddings issues. There are so many different subjects that our couples want information about, and this new blog will be a perfect solution.

I'm hoping that we will be able to get our template up soon. And once its up, our time will be much more efficiently used when we start blogging again on a regular basis.

Hawaii Wedding Cakes - Maui Wedding Cakes

Hawaii Wedding Cakes are included in our larger packages. You should know of the extra effort we go to provide great tasting Maui Wedding Cakes for our couples. There are lots of bakers of Hawaii Wedding Cakes here on Maui, but they are certainly not all equal.

We enjoy one company above all of the others for several reasons. Our Maui wedding couples tend to make strong comments about one of our bakers, whenever we use his Maui Wedding Cakes. So we work at using this baker whenever we need Hawaii Wedding Cakes.

We discovered this baker the very first time, eight years ago, when we needed a cake for one of our first weddings. I had gone off the the wedding in a separate car and my wife Susan was bringing the Maui Wedding Cake which she had just picked up. Being inexperienced, Susan purchased a cake at a local market. Fortunately, right before the wedding, she looked into the box and realized that the cake had imploded, splitting into three pieces. With a friend, she attempted to put it back together -- but without success. It was a hopeless mess.

In a panic, Susan asked her friend if she had any suggestions about what she should do. The friend, a long time Maui resident, recommended she go to a local baker who was well known for great pastries. Susan called him and said: "I have an emergency. I need a cake in 15 minutes! I don't care what flavor!"

Fortunately, the baker replied, "Give me 20 minutes and I can get you your cake."

Well, the man came through as promised. And although she arrived a little late, Susan did have a cake. The couple had already told us that they only wanted the cake for their pictures, and this cake did look good. I was surprised when they served each other, as I shot the traditional photos, that they both raved about the cake's flavor. They ended up changing their mind and taking the cake with them!

Ever since that day, we have used this same company for our Maui Wedding Cakes. Whenever we are unable to get his cakes, like when he goes on vacation, I find that my couples don't say much about the taste of their cakes. But whenever I use my preferred vendor, our wedding couples always rave about their Hawaii Wedding Cakes.

Maui Wedding Planner

Busy Maui Wedding Planner.

We are very busy for the month of September with 23 Maui weddings. Most of those weddings will take place during the last half of the month so we'll certainly be busy then.

We enjoy staying busy and always enjoy working with our different wedding couples. It is such a joy to perform a wedding, like we did earlier this week, for a couple who are so excited about each other. The groom told me, "I'm 37 and never been married!" He couldn't wait for his bride, who was secluded, to walk onto the beach.

That couple was all smiles as I went through the ceremony. And he couldn't keep the tears from welling up into his eyes when we got to the commitment part. When we got to the part where he is to say, "to be my lawfully wedding wife," he grinned. I always tell my couples -- especially when there is a video camera rolling -- not to say, "to be my AWEFULLY wedding wife" (or husband).

If you ever saw the movie, "Four Weddings and a Funeral", you might remember the part where minister asks the groom if he will "awefully wed". Believe me, I've had many couples do that. And when a video is running, you don't want to make that mistake and have to live with that tape for the next twenty years.

Hope things are going well for you and the love of your life.

Aloha,
John
