Maui Wedding Planner

"Maui Wedding Planner: 10 Tips for Selecting the Right Hawaiian Wedding Coordinator" is an article I put on our other Maui Me wedding website. I just recently realized that I had some typos on the article, so I re-wrote it and put it back up on our website.

If you have yet to select your own Maui Wedding Planner, you might want to take a look at this article as it gives a number of key tips to help you avoid the wrong Maui Wedding Planner. Because we've been involved here on Maui as wedding planners for eight years, we have certainly heard a number of sad stories from couples who have had bad experiences. We've been around long enough that we can assure you there are companies which you would be better off avoiding.

Fortunately, most of the Maui Wedding Planners here are reliable and they do offer good services. You certainly want to choose the best wedding planner you can get, at a reasonable price. And of course, we do hope you'll give us a chance to earn your confidence. We can be reached, toll free, at 1-800-856-3270.

The groom at our Tuesday wedding commented to me that he was pleasantly surprised by how much service we performed for them; the fact that we choreographed their Maui wedding on a nice efficient time schedule, leaving lots of time for photography and videography, and then staying with them right up through the sunset to get the best possible photographs and videography really surprised him. We always love to give more than our couples expect.

I hope you'll click on the link and go to my article so you can choose the very best:

Maui Vow Renewals - 50 Years

Last night we coordinated a surprise Maui Vow Renewal for a couple on their 50th wedding anniversary. Their kids had a catered dinner for them and their family on the beach, with the biggest limo of Maui, photography, a vow renewal (with their son as the minister), flower arrangements, music, cake cutting, and a fire-knife dancer. The entire affair went off without a hitch.

Afterward, I talked to the 71-year-old groom. I asked how he first met his wife. He told me she was 15 when they met. They fell instantly in love, and both of them knew, almost immediately that they would get married. But because of her young age, they got engaged without their parents knowledge. He bought her an engagement ring which she would put on each evening at the beginning of their dates, and then put it back in the box when they said "good-night." On her 17th birthday they "came out of the closet," announcementing their engagement to her folks, who took if well. (He was surprised). And they were married after her 18th birthday.

That was 50 years ago and today they have kids and grand kids to spare. The groom just recently had cancer surgery and wasn't sure if they could pull off this joyous vow renewal and reunion with their family. You never know when there won't be another anniversary to celebrate, and that's why it is so important to celebrate every one of them in a special way.

After watching just one Maui vow renewal like this, you can see how valuable such an experience is for the couple and their entire family. This is the kind of renewal when I usually do my Legacy Spiritual Ceremony (although in this case their son performed the ceremony because he is a licensed minister). You can see my Maui vow renewal ceremonies here where you can read them for yourself.

Lately we have been doing a LOT of Maui vow renewals. Because of that I added a great new page on our Maui Me website that will give you our Maui Vow Renewal discount prices.

Maui Weddings at the Renaissance Wailea Resort

The Renaissance Wailea Resort has been saying for well over a year now that they will be refurbished soon and that they can't book weddings. The construction dates have changed many times, and as a result, it has been hard to book a Maui wedding at there awesome location. Which is too bad.

But they are currently still allowing weddings at the find location, which you can see at our link here: Renaissance Wailea Resort Wedding. The two pictures we have on our site don't really do the place justice. The grounds are beautiful with ponds, small waterfalls, streams and an island where we actually do the weddings.

Right now, they are offering a $50 discount for any couple who books their location in August. If the booking is for August or September, you will receive another $50 discount off your site fee. If you're thinking about using a private resort location, you might want to talk to use about the Renaissance Wailea Resort.
